Greg Sandlin was elected to the board of Mayor and Aldermen in 2009. He serves as the Board's representative to the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, the Coffee County Industrial Development Board, and serves on the Internal Affairs Committee. He previously served on the Tullahoma Airport Authority and the Tullahoma Housing Authority.
Mr. Sandlin is married to Christine Williams, originally of Shelbyville, Tennessee and they have two daughters, Olivia and Elise. The Sandlins moved to Tullahoma in 2001 when he accepted a position with the contractor at the Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) as a Civil/Environmental Engineer.
Mr. Sandlin is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a BS in Civil & Environmental Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Tennessee and Ohio. He serves as Principal Engineer with ATA at AEDC in the Environmental Group managing soil and groundwater remediation projects. In 2003, Sandlin created a local small business to provide common sense solutions to the environmental stewardship responsibilities of area businesses. The company began providing environmental assessment and compliance support and has expanded into grant writing services for start-up alternative energy companies. Mr. Sandlin has secured more than $1.6M dollars in grant and loan guarantees for his clients in Tennessee, Alabama and Texas.
Mr. Sandlin has been active in church and civic organizations and attends Grace Chapel-Tullahoma, is Vice President of the Tullahoma Noon Rotary Club, member of the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce, Arnold Community Council, and American Society of Civil Engineers. He is also an Upward Basketball Coach. He has had the privilege of traveling extensively, having lived on three continents, traveled to over 20 nations, and spent time in 47 of our United States.
