Vice Mayor Mike Norris

Michael Norris was first elected to the Board of Mayor and Alderman in 2007 and was re-elected in 2010. He has held the position of Mayor Pro-Tem since 2008. He represents the City on the Tullahoma Airport Authority and the Tullahoma Utilities Board, is Chairman of the Finance, Audit and Loan Committee and serves on the Policy Committee. He also previously served as the Board's representative to the Tullahoma City School Board, the Board of Zoning and Appeals and as Chairman of the Internal Affairs Committee.

Mr. Norris has been employed in the financial services industry for over 27 years. Mike worked fifteen years for PNC Financial, in Louisville, KY as Senior Vice President of mortgage administration, managing 250 employees and a mortgage portfolio of over $50 billion. After leaving PNC in 1993, Mike joined Trans Financial Bank and formed the Trans Financial Mortgage Company located in Tullahoma TN, serving as President. Trans Financial Mortgage originated over $2 billion of mortgages a year and serviced a mortgage portfolio over $20 billion.

Mr. Norris has recently retired from US Bank as an Executive Vice President and Chairman of the Board of a wholly-owned subsidiary, The Leader Mortgage Company in Cleveland OH. His most recent responsibilities included working with State and Local Housing Authorities to provide mortgage financing to low to moderate income families.

Norris was born in Louisville KY and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School 32nd in a class of 375 students. Mike holds a BS from Western Kentucky University in Business Administration with an area of concentration in management.

Mike resides with his wife, Judy, in Tullahoma. His son, Jeff, is currently attending Tennessee Technology University in Cookeville and his daughter, Sarah, attends the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
