DRUC Receives Another Perfect Inspection Score
DRUC Facility EntranceThe Duck River Utility Commission facilities were subject to a detailed inspection by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, Division of Water Supply on January 10, 2012, resulting in a perfect score of 100%. State inspectors spent several hours evaluating the DRUC water filtration plant and other facilities including all buildings, equipment, maintenance records, plant operating procedures and water quality records. DRUC has earned a score of 99% or better on every State inspection over the last twenty-two years including receiving a perfect rating several times. The average inspection score of the DRUC over the last two decades is an impressive 99.6%.
The DRUC is a regional water authority formed to supply potable water to Tullahoma, TN and surrounding communities. It most recently announced the completion of a $122,792.00 capacity expansion project that now allows it to delver 12 million gallons per day of ultr-pure drinking water. The DRUC's wholesale water rate of $1.20 per thousand gallons remains one of the lowest in the State of Tennessee.
