Parks and Recreation Announce Trip to The Ford Ice Center

ford-ice-centerTullahoma Parks and Recreation is forecasting ice for January 21, 2016 with a family fun public skate trip to the Ford Ice Center. The Ford Ice Center is the official ice skating facility of the Nashville Predators. It is also the home of the Scott Hamilton Ice Skating Academy and Club Hockey Teams for Vanderbilt University, Middle Tennessee State University, and the University of the South.  This is a fun, healthy activity for all ages offering a great venue for anyone to try ice skating for the first time, introduce children to the sport, or just to go skating with friends and family.

We will be leaving D.W. Wilson Community Center at 11:00am and returning by 6:00pm. The cost is $25 for children and $30 for adults and includes a chartered bus, entrance fee, and skate rentals. Deadline to sign up is January 18, 2017.

This 2,500 square foot ice training space includes a second floor overlook, concessions and a Hockey Pro Shop. The Public Skate session will be from 12:45pm till 2:45pm at the center.  After the skating session, there will be time to eat, enjoy the rest of the center and explore the 25,000 square foot Nashville Southeast Branch Library, a 4.5 acre Park with a fitness trail, and a 55,000 square foot Community Center located next door to the Ford Ice Center. The bus will depart Nashville at 4:15pm.
