As the Chief of Police for the City of Tullahoma, I am honored to lead a group of people that truly understand and practice the concept of To Protect and Serve. Do You Know a Vietnam Veteran?

Did you or someone you know serve in Vietnam? The City of Tullahoma is dedicating the first spring concert to our Vietnam veterans. March 29, 2013 is the fortieth (40th) anniversary of the withdrawl of combat troops from Vietnam. To recognize those veterans and salute them for their service, a concert will be held at the Tullahoma National Guard Armory on Highway 55.

The event will have a social period to mingle and observe displays, followed by a few words from local Vietnam vets, and then music. The music will be primarily of that era, the 60’s and early 70’s. The date for this event is Saturday, April 6, 2013 and is open to all. As additional details are worked out, the information will be released.

The City would like to invite the community to this event and express thanks for these brave men and women that so selflessly served our country during a difficult time. The City encourages anyone having memorabilia from that period and would like to display it, to notify the Chief of Police so a table or an area can be arranged for you.

We ask that no weapons or munitions be brought to the event and displays should be in good taste and suitable for families. Veteran groups are invited to set up tables or a display in order to share the programs they provide our service members.
