Short Springs Natural Area

2250 Short Springs Road

Located on Short Springs Road, and managed jointly by TVA, TN Department of Conservation, and The City of Tullahoma, Short Springs is a 420-acre natural area. It contains wonderful hiking trails with waterfalls and rare wildflowers. Short Springs is one of the very best spring wildflower locations in the state, moist slopes are covered in trout lilies, Virginia bluebells, jack-in-the-pulpit, larkspur, and Dutchman’s breeches. Large flowered trillium (Trillium grandiflora), southern red trillium (Trillium sulcatum), and barren strawberry (Waldsteinia fragarioides) are uncommon plants for Middle Tennessee that occur here. Short Springs is open year round during daylight hours
